Patience Griffin Speaker
PATIENCE GRIFFIN grew up in a small town along the Mississippi River, living life in a close-knit community. With a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering, she’s a nerdy girl to the core, but loves to quilt and read books which make her laugh. To Scotland with Love, her first book, and also the first book in the Kilts & Quilts® series, is published by Penguin Random House. That book was nominated for 2 RITA®s, which is like being nominated for an Emmy. It won several Readers’ Choice awards and it received a Publishers Weekly starred review. By the time she speaks at the Silver Comet Stitchers guild, her 14th novel should be released. Her latest fabric collection is with Riley Blake batiks and will be out in May 2025, also. Patience lives in McKinney, Texas with her family and her Bischon, spending her days writing about her fictional quilting communities and dreaming up the next quilt she wants to make. www.PatienceGriffin.com
